Caslione Delivers Keynote Speech for GE Insurance Solutions, in Shanghai, China (July 25, 2005)

On July 25, 2005, John Caslione’s introduction to GE’s audience of 600 business executives, captured the attention of every business person in the audience:

As I travel and speak around the world, business leaders continually ask me, “What really is globalization?”  I find that astute business leaders readily understand they need to take their respective companies into a global position.  But, surprisingly few know what it is, and even fewer know how to get their companies there.  Many business leaders — and it seems, many government leaders — too often seem to be searching for something they can’t quite put their finger on. . .”

John Caslione’s speech highlighted Globalization and the Role of Business Leaders presented at GE’s Annual AsiaPacific Meeting in Shanghai, P.R. China (July 6, 2005).  The speech went on to reflect much of today’s exciting yet turbulent reality.

Caslione’s speech sent a very powerful message to the audience:

“In most situations, leaders – business leaders and government leaders alike – who neglect to honestly evaluate the requirements, risks, and rewards of becoming a global company – and a global economy – are taking their companies and their countrymen down a very dangerous road . . .

The program director was very pleased with Caslione’s preparation and substantive information — as is evidenced by her testimonial statement below:

John’s speech went very well. John is a consummate professional and extremely flexible.   We really appreciated his time, energy and in-depth approach on business globalization.   Thank you so much.”
